A Challenge Countdown ...

... with added Sziget Selections

Just issuing my usual ‘Challenge 69’ warning that the next instalment of the story is scheduled for release this weekend. The opening of the chapter should arrive in your inboxes at 10am on Saturday 11th, with the conclusion to follow, as is now traditional, twenty-four hours later.

‘Track 13’ is loosely (and of course fictionally!) based around a 2018 visit to the Sziget music festival in Budapest, so it seemed wholly appropriate that this week’s pre-story playlist should follow a similar theme.

I’m really just a part timer when it comes to Sziget attendance though, so I decided to hand over the song selection reins to some real hardcore Szitizens!

‘Challenge 69’ readers Mark, Tom, and Sarah have clocked up an impressive fourteen years of unbroken attendance (Covid cancellations aside) on ‘The Island of Freedom’, so I have invited them to curate a special ‘highlights’ playlist, pulling together all their most memorable acts (and songs) from more than a decade of Sziget lineups.

The end result has managed to distill fourteen years of festival going (through the lens of three Sziget stalwarts) into an excellent forty-five minutes of varied music.
