A Numbers Update

and a goal to go with it!

Firstly, another big thankyou to those of you who read ‘Track 5’. The chapter attracted ‘Challenge 69’s highest number of readers so far, which is really helping my story gather momentum!

‘C69’s overall ‘subscribers’ total continues to rise steadily, and has now reached 93, impressively spread over 9 different countries, across three continents. Recent sign-ups have mainly been recruited through cross-promotion on Substack (where I’ve recruited nine other writers) and Instagram (where regular posting, and seventy followers, has so far yielded six new subscribers).

‘C69’ only launched in late July, so this really isn’t a bad return for the story’s first three months (apparently many Substack sites never get close to 100 subscribers). Frustratingly though it still leaves me 7 subscribers short of my ‘three figure’ goal.

Hitting this target would be an important milestone, as it will (a little dubiously) mean ‘C69’ meets the Substack description of ‘hundreds of subscribers’, allowing me to use that fact in my planned ‘Phase 2’ campaign, to redouble efforts to find the book a traditional publisher.

So, you know me well enough by now to have guessed what’s coming!
