I’ll admit it, this one’s tough. It might even (I suspect) be too convoluted to be genuinely solvable, though I’m still holding out hope somebody can prove me wrong. Only read on if you’re stuck!
For anybody still wrangling with a solution though, here’s a bit more guidance on exactly how the latest ‘challenge’ is structured:
There are four separate clues and, in each instance, you’re looking to find a single pair of capital letters that provide an answer to all three elements of the clue,
It helps to realise ‘capitals’ often has a double meaning, not just capital letters but geographical Capitals as well,
Once you’ve found the four individual sets of two-letters, these then need to be rearranged, or ‘unconfused’, to find …
… a “misspelt noblewoman of letters”, and
As a final clue, there are two ‘misspellings’ involved in confirming the correct answer!
Not sure if any of that helps, and just explaining it all has made me even more concerned about just what sort of twisted mind could have come up with such complexity, but it’s all you’re going to get.
Beyond this, you will just have to tune in at 10am tomorrow, to find out how Stuart, Anne, and Joe went about solving ‘Challenge 14’. (It’s much easier to pass an exam that you’ve set yourself!)
